COMMUTING COST
Through the use of KDNA™, staff can easily work at a separate location, such as a home office, or client location, without the need to commute to a central office on a daily basis.

KDNA™ provides the technology to allow staff to eliminate an office commute at least one day per week. By eliminating one office commute per staff per week, the benefits to your organization’s Carbon Footprint and productivity are as follows:

Carbon Footprint:

By eliminating ONE office commute per week – based on an average commute distance of 30 miles roundtrip and 1 pound of CO2 produced for every mile driven, in a year each person can prevent the release of more than 1,500 pounds of CO2.

How many trees does it take to store 1,500 pounds of CO2 per year? A single mature tree can absorb carbon dioxide at a rate of almost 50 pounds per year. Therefore, the reduction of one office commute per week per person equals the work of 30 full grown trees. If you have hundred people eliminating one office trip per week, your company has contributed the equivalent work of 3,000 trees capturing CO2 to reduce the effects of climate change on the planet.

Benefits of Commuting Once A Week

Productivity:

By eliminating ONE office commute per week – based on an average commute distance of 30 miles roundtrip, in a year each person can gain an additional 50 hours of productivity.

How much is 50 hours of additional productivity worth? If your average employee costs (salary, benefits, office expense, overhead) are $40 per hour, per year per person this equals $2,000 of productivity. If you have one hundred people in your company eliminating one office trip per week, you have now added potential productivity of $200,000 per year and increased the effectiveness and potential success of your organization.
